Dog That Waited Three Years For A Home Is Brought Back To Shelter Just Days After He Was Adopted

This handsome boy is looking for a home. Please spread the word!

The Humane Society of Summit County is spreading the word that one of their residents, a handsome American Stafforshire terrier mix is looking for a forever home. This place is a “no time limit” shelter and takes great care of all the dogs and cats until the right families come along their way.

Geronimo first came to the shelter three years ago and was finally adopted recently, but it turned out that he and his new owner weren’t a match so Geronimo was brought back. Now, the staff is doing their best to find him someone who will embrace him and offer him a forever home.

A post about Geronimo was shared on Facebook. It says, “Geronimo is still looking for the perfect match! We were so happy to announce on Saturday evening that Geronimo had found a family. Unfortunately, it was not a perfect match. His adopter made the difficult decision to return him to the Humane Society yesterday in hopes of finding him a better forever fit. We support the adopter in the return and want to make a perfect match for Geronimo, so the search continues.”

This sweet creature is described as vibrant and loving. He enjoys taking long walks and playing in the park. The perfect place for him would be a family without children or other dogs.

“We would love your help again to spread the word about our handsome boy and help us find the person he has been waiting over 3 years to meet! He is looking for an adult only home and would be best as the only 4-legged family member.”

In case you know someone who is looking for a dog, spread Geronimo’s story and help him find his happy ending.
