Getting a pet for your child might be the best decision you’ll ever make. This way they will have a companion for life and will learn that “sharing is caring” which can help shape them into good people.
However, you should be aware that an animal comes with a bunch of commitments such as preparing food and making sure it’s not bored.
But when there is a baby in the house, it’s a bit more complicated.
You have to make sure your child accepts the pet and reacts to its arrival positively.
It’s important to make sure that you monitor and think about how the cat might react to the baby because it can end up very bad, or very good!
When thinking about how to introduce a baby to your cat, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has created some tips that can greatly help when creating a positive introduction of your cat with a baby
They suggest that you create a quiet environment and bring the cat into this area without baby distractions or noises. After they meet each other, you can introduce the cat to other family members quietly and carefully while monitoring everything during the event.
It can also be a good idea to bring some of the babies clothes or blankets preferably into the area to let the cat quietly investigate the smells. This can help the cat feel comfortable in the environment.
It’s also important to keep the cat away from any sleeping areas where the baby might be to prevent anything bad happening.
Cats can cuddle with a sleeping baby, and while this might be cute and adorable, it can lead to serious issues if the baby has a hard time breathing, so it’s a good idea to keep them both separate; baby and cat.
Also, it’s a good idea to give your cat alone time to ensure the cat does not get jealous of your time. Some cats react differently and it’s important to monitor all actions by cat with the baby.
The mother in the video below was concerned and didn’t know what the cat would do when she introduced the baby to it. But thankfully the introduction was so adorable she even grabbed the camera to record the wonderful event.
Their Heartwarming Moment Was Captured On Camera In The Video Below:
“Cats want a lot of affection, but babies need it even more,” the video’s description reads. “That’s why a cat might get jealous when there’s a new child in the house. However, Lemise adores his new buddy and comes running every time he makes a sound. This adorable video shows the beginning of their precious friendship.”
This sweet video shows just how amazing a cat can be – when the cat started sniffing the baby’s head, it proceeded to lick and groom the baby like it was a kitten of her own. It’s so priceless you can’t miss it!
The baby just loves the cat and loves holding the cats paw and the cat doesn’t mind at all – it’s the cutest little adorable duo you ever did see!
